This Montrose Michigan exhaust vent became the nesting site of a bunch of birds. When we removed the cap we found the vent was totally jam packed with nesting material and the exhaust was backing up into the building. Bird nests can do a lot of damage but in this case the birds may very well have killed people. We sealed the opening around the vent and then installed a vent cap that would not allow birds or animals inside the vent pipe.
